When friends go out for dinner or roommates share an apartment, calculating who owes what is basic arithmetic. It is an everyday human interaction that should build trust and goodwill.

Yet over the last few years, the dominant bill splitting tools turned hostile against their users. They capped free entries to 3 expenses per day. They forced users to watch 10-second countdown video advertisements just to save a coffee. They demanded ₹3,000 every year for basic features like search and charts.

We built TracXpense because we believe that calculating shared math should be treated like a fast, clean utility. No paywalls, no artificial daily throttling, no banner ads, and no bait-and-switch pricing. Ever.

2. Mathematical Truth & The Cryptographic Ledger

Money creates friction when people aren't sure where the numbers came from. If an old transaction is quietly edited or deleted 3 months later, friends can end up questioning each other's integrity.

TracXpense solves this at the database architecture level:

• Append-Only Hash Chaining: Every transaction, split edit, and settlement is hashed using SHA-256 and cryptographically linked to the previous entry in the account.
• Full Revision History: If someone alters a split percentage or updates an amount, the transaction details view shows exactly who modified it, when, and what the previous figures were.
• Zero Floating-Point Drift: All calculations inside TracXpense run on 64-bit integer minor units (paisa, cents, fils). We never use IEEE floating-point numbers for money, eliminating off-by-one errors.
• 30-Day Trash & Recovery: Deleted expenses are not permanently vaporized; they sit in a 30-day recovery bin visible to all group members.

3. Respect For Your Attention & Privacy

Modern software has become noisy, intrusive, and thirsty for tracking. TracXpense operates on the principle of calm respect:

• No Passwords, No Google/Apple Tracking: We use clean, passwordless magic email OTP. You enter your email, receive a fast 6-digit code, and sign in. No third-party OAuth ad trackers follow you.
• Clean Account Deletion: If you ever choose to delete your account, your data is completely purged without lingering shadow profiles (App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) compliant).
• Zero Advertising SDKs: You will not find Google AdMob, Unity Ads, or Meta Pixel SDKs in our code.
